While working with The Ivy Collection, a heritage British hospitality brand, I had the opportunity to contribute across multiple creative areas - from graphic design and art direction to bespoke illustration. The role allowed me to help shape a visual identity that blended tradition with modern refinement.
01. Project introduction
The Ivy’s longstanding reputation came with both prestige and expectations - but it also posed a design challenge. How could we create marketing materials and in-restaurant assets that preserved the brand’s historical charm while engaging a contemporary audience? The brand needed consistency across touchpoints while still celebrating the individuality of each location.

03. My solution
From seasonal campaign artwork to bespoke in-house collateral, I ensured every element reflected The Ivy’s commitment to quality, sophistication, and guest experience. A standout example was the menu design — balancing visual elegance with readability and function to match the restaurant’s eclectic yet polished atmosphere.
This project required a deep sensitivity to branding, layout, and material design. I worked across Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator, often incorporating hand-drawn illustrations into the final pieces. Attention to paper quality, print finishes, and typographic nuance was crucial - especially for guest-facing items like menus and promotional materials.
04. Tools & backstory
The assets I developed contributed to a more elevated and consistent brand experience across Ivy locations — both physically and digitally. During my time on the team, we opened five new branches, expanding the brand’s reach and presence. Social media engagement also grew significantly, with views increasing 10×, and many reels and posts reaching millions of views. This work helped strengthen The Ivy’s connection with a broader, more digitally engaged audience, while preserving the charm that long-time patrons value.
