01. Project introduction

While working with The Ivy Asia, a modern sister brand to The Ivy Collection, I had the opportunity to shape a vibrant and visually rich brand identity. This project offered a unique creative challenge — blending contemporary Asian influences with a high-end Western hospitality experience.

The Ivy Asia needed a bold, cohesive identity that authentically celebrated Asian culture while appealing to a Western audience. The key challenge was maintaining cultural respect and visual consistency while embracing a design language that was intentionally more vivid, energetic, and unconventional than what’s typically seen in Western hospitality brands.

I collaborated with Asian branding specialists to create an identity that was true to the brand’s modern Asian concept. This included menus, social campaigns, and marketing assets that leaned into intricate patterns, illustrations, and bold colour palettes.

This project required balancing visual storytelling with cultural awareness. I worked closely with creatives who had deep regional knowledge to ensure authenticity in typography, illustration, and layout choices. My toolkit included Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop

The Ivy Asia’s visual identity has become instantly recognisable - both online and in physical spaces. The brand's bold, layered aesthetic helped it stand apart in a competitive market, contributing to strong customer engagement across print and digital channels. Social content for Ivy Asia saw rapid growth, with high engagement across reels and marketing campaigns.
